I am happy to offer custom jewelry design services for jewelry and prayer beads.

In fact, it’s one of my favorite ways of working. I love hearing about your needs and interests, and then sharing the stone energies that will work best for you.

It’s wonderful to create something with a specific human being in mind. And I enjoy including prayers and blessing that are unique to your journey or meditation practice. Energetically, these are always some of my favorite pieces.

Also, I have access to some of the most gorgeous gemstone beads in the world. Huge amazing beads of blue peruvian opal (and pink peruvian opal) faceted aquamarines, tourmalines, exquisite quality lapis lazuli and more. Some of these beads wholesale for $600 or more for a 16″ strand of beads, so they’re not things I can afford to keep as inventory. But I would love the opportunity to work with their energies and can offer you a good price in exchange. So please do take advantage if you’re financially blessed and would like something special.

Given the time and care involved — email communications, sourcing beads, sending you “draft” images, etc — there is an additional charge of $75. for custom designed jewelry. This is due at the beginning at the design process. This amount is non-refundable, but may be credited to other purchases if you decide not to purchase a custom designed piece.

The way to begin the designer process is to leave me a message. Click the comments box at the bottom of this page for a message box. — You may also email me at mahala (at) crystallotusjewelry (dot) com — Give me as much detail as you can about the custom jewelry or prayer beads you would like me to design for you. Stones you like, energy or blessings you’re seeking, etc. Be sure to include a price range.

I’ll repeat myself because too many people omit this last step: Be sure to include a price range. Maybe people are hesitant because they’re afraid I’ll charge more if they list a high price range. I promise you, that is not the case. It’s just that I simply can’t start imagining stones or designs for you without knowing your budget. I don’t want to suggest a rare and high-priced gemstone if it’s more than you can afford. (There are many gorgeous stones, and we can surely find something that matches your interests and your budget.) At the same time, I DO want to recommend these energetic beauties to you if you’re ready to invest in them.

So yes, include a price range along with your other interests…

When you write a message you’ll have the option to edit your message or to post it. Once you post it, a copy of your custom design request will be forwarded to me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Usually that’s within 48 hours. (If you don’t hear from me, you may want to re-post the request. Double check that your return email is correct and make sure my reply will not be blocked from your email program.) And then we’ll take off from there.

Respectfully, please do not request custom designed jewelry until you are truly ready to have a piece made especially for you and to BUY it. I love talking about jewelry, prayer beads, gemstone energy and healing but I simply cannot engage in ongoing emails. Also, I do not wish to spend time researching or special ordering beads if you are just in the musing stage about a piece of custom made jewelry. So I really appreciate your sincerity on this point.
